Douglas Adams (ดักลาส อดัมส์) มีชื่อเต็มว่า Douglas Noel Adams เกิดเมื่อวันที่ 11 มีนาคม ปีค.ศ. 1952 นอกจากเขาจะเป็นนักเขียนชื่อดังแล้ว เขายังเป็นผู้สนับสนุนเกี่ยวกับการอนุรักษ์ธรรมชาติ ชอบรถแข่งชอบความเร็ว ชอบในเทคโนโลยี โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งคอมพิวเตอร์แมคอินทอช เขาเสียชีวิตเมื่อวันที่ 11 พฤษภาคม ปี 2001 จากสาเหตุโรคหัวใจกำเริบ อายุรวมได้ 49 ปีครับ
